Visit to Tesco Llantrisant

Here we all are on the bus. We were really excited.
We had to wear these special tunics so that we didn't get lost!
Here we are at the exotic fruit isle.
Did you know that all peppers start off green and change colour with the time they spend in the sun?
Sampling Cheese!

I am not too sure I am going to like this!
Fish counter next!
The Baker tells us all about baking bread.
We all sampled the doughnuts!
And the freshly baked bread!!  Yum! Yum!
Next stop was the walk in freezer. It was COLDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

Minus 18 degrees!
Last stop was sampling the fruits we had seen earlier.
I think this must have been the most popular part of the morning. At the end there wasn't one little bit of fruit left.
We said 'Thank You,' and 'Goodbye' to Tesco's.
On the bus again going back to school for our lunch!

Congratulations this week go to Kered Rossiter who achieved the highest score in the timed test in Big Maths. Kered you have achieved your target and there is a bar of chocolate as a prize waiting for you in school.

Well done to all! Keep up the good work!

African Drums

This week we were lucky enough to have African Drums in school. There were over 30 drums altogether and everyone in the class  had the opportunity to play a drum.
We learnt about the different notes you can play on a drum and we played some games that involved repeating patterns and counting beats.
It was great fun and by the end of the session Ophelia was named Queen of the Drums.

African Art

We looked at pictures of African sunsets and landscapes. We painted backgrounds using shades of yellow, orange and red for our sunsets and browns, greens and yellows for our landscapes.

We then cut out silhouettes and stuck pieces of paper to our background to make our pictures.
