We have also been learning about how sounds can be put together to make words. We are really confident at making CVC words, and enjoyed finding these words in our reading books. We used these skills when we visited the library at Ogmore Life Centre this month. We listened to a lovely story told by the librarian Mrs Pearce, then we all handed in our consent forms so that we could open up our own library accounts-after that came the fun bit, choosing our stories! Some of us wanted the same stories as our friends, so we chose Welsh and English versions :)
We finished off the term by designing and making our own boiled eggs to have Easter fun, such as egg hunts and egg and spoon races. We also made Easter nests using shredded wheat and a little bit of chocolate. We are looking forward to a little rest now, before starting our new theme in April.
