We followed up these learning experiences by inviting in both the PDSA, and Cats Protection to further our knowledge on how to look after cats, and what they need to keep them healthy. Both visitors were really good at helping us all to understand the need to be kind to animals, and how this can benefit their health.
We visited the Cats Protection Centre at Bryncethin, and were shown animals who had just come in for adoption, animals who had been treated by the vet for an illness or injury, and cats who were wild. We all learned a great deal, and although we did not touch any of the animals, we were able to observe them close up in an environment they were familiar with. We only have a few more weeks of this exciting project, and we are all now looking forward to making some informative booklets of our own, showing all that we have learned.
