This term our theme is Big Wide World. We are looking at the country of Lesotho which can be found in Southern Africa. We are going to compare our country Wales with Lesotho. Here is an overview of what we are going to be doing.
We have been very lucky to have Miss Davies to come to talk to us about her stay in Lesotho. She told us all about the school she worked in and the people she met.
Miss Davies wore clothes given to her by her friends in Lesotho.
She showed us different objects from Lesotho. We tried to guess what they were for. One was a handbag, another a hat and one was a sweeping brush. We didn't guess that one!
The children of Lesotho are very clever at making things out of junk we throw away. They use plastic bags to play kick ups. We think it's really easy!
It's not easy sweeping the floor; all that bending makes your back hurt!
Who could this young lady dressed up in traditional Lesotho clothes be? Doesn't she look smart with her special hat to top it off. ?
It can be very cold in Lesotho especially at night so a warm woolly blanket is just what you need to keep you warm.
